Hi Fellow Members,
Iām seeking advice for a computer malfunction I encountered today.
My computer is a Dell Latitude laptop with an Intel i3 running Windows 10 which I purchased several years ago from someone on Craigslist. Prior to today, I never experienced any malfunctions with this machine.
After turning it on, a scrolling message displayed on my screen:
Fixing (Cš Stage 2: 73% (977886 of 1332610) Total 67% ETA 0:01:26
After this message, a second message appeared on screen
Scanning and repairing drive (Cš 100% complete
This scanning and repairing drive C: 100% complete has been on my screen for several hours.
My local computer repair service has gone out of business, so I need to identify another repair service to address this issue.
In the meantime, is there any keystroke combination I can use to stop this scanning and repairing drive C operation? Can I potentially cause further damage to my computer by simply turning off the power button?
Does anyone have a reliable, reputable computer repair service they'd feel comfortable recommending?
Thanks in advance.
Jerry
